(Morganton NC 7-20-2018) Brian Carswell #17 from Valdese won a highly competitive Heintz Bros performance Blue Ridge Outlaw late model race. Carswell got the jump from his inside front row starting position with Ricky Weeks #1W in Hot Pursuit. Carswell LED every lap to take the checkered flag, Weeks pressured Carswell on restarts but Carswell would pull away on a long runs and Weeks had to settle for second. 12 year old Bryson Harper #20 from Forest City looked impressive with a third-place finish, Brandon O’Neil #65 fourth and David Minton 3D overcame a mid-race spin to finish fifth.
Jesse Rocket #537 from Stanley LED every lap on his way to Victory in the Heintz Bros performance Blue Ridge 602 modified event. Larry Martin #92 second, Jason Ledford #14 third and Steven Pedulla #15 fourth.
John Reynolds #55 from Connelly Springs led flag to flag winning the Heintz Bros performance Renegade/Crate sportsman race. Rodney Lail #26 looked impressive but could only muster a second-place finish, Victor Durham #100 fourth and Cody Watson #314 fifth.
Matthew Prince #19P from Millspring Led the entire event taking home the trophy in the Tire plus/ Tires pro Thunder bombers/psV8 race. Benny Peeler #16 held off a hard-charging Johnny Reynolds #55 to finish second, Reynolds third, Timmy Wilson #777 with his best finish of the year in fourth and Steven Short #17 fifth.
John Reid #81 from Lincolnton took the checkered flag in the RPM graphics Pure Stock 4 race. Chris Butler #B9 came from the rear of the field and cross the line beside of Reid to finish second. William Myers #17 overcame a mid-race spin to finish third, BJ Link #21 fourth and Randy Powell #88 recovered from a late race flat tire to finish 5th.
Colby Burks #73 from Morganton led from start to finish taking the victory in the James Wagoner welding Young Guns event. Colton Stanley #45 second, Trace Chatham #21 third, Chesnie Chatham #17 in a borrowed car finished fourth and Nathan Prince #19 rounded out the top five.
