FAYETTEVILLE, TN—The Southern All Star Dirt Racing Series presented by MaxFab starts it’s month of April this Saturday night April 20th at the Thunderhill Raceway Park located in Summertown, TN., for the 1st Annual King of the Hill 40 paying $4,000 to win. This will be the first trip back to the high banked quarter mile since 2017. The track is now under the promotion of Jason Walker and Ricky Spurgeon and one of the first calls they made when they acquired the t rack was to get the Southern All Stars back on the schedule as in the past the crowds have been huge for the events held there.
Four time Southern All Star champion Riley Hickman of Ooltewah, TN., will lead the series drivers into the event as he is looking to capture a record setting 5th title. The second place driver may have something to say about that as David Breazeale of Four Corners, MS., is in the second spot in points, this place is the current Cruise with the Champions/Dirtondirt.com rookie of the year Zach Leonhardi of Emerson, GA., fourth place defending Southern All Star Champion Jay Scott of Fayetteville, TN., and fifth place is another rookie contender Andrew Littleton of Chatsworth, GA. All these drivers will be in attendance at Thunderhill.
Other top regional drivers that are expected include sixth place in series points Billy Franklin of Calera, Al., seventh place in points Mark Dodson of Caledonia, MS., 11th place in points Austin Arnold of Kosciusko, MS., Eric Hickerson of Linden, TN., Ray McElhiney of Pulaski, TN., Joseph Faulkner of Flintville, TN., Brad Skinner of Spring Hill, TN., Dane Dacus of Lakewood, TN., Josh Putnam of Florence, AL., and David Seibers of Chapel Hill, TN., are expected to be in action..
Pits gates will open at 3:00pm with drivers meeting, tech registration close at 6:00 pm, drivers meeting then hot laps with race time set for 6:30 pm.
