DeGraff OH (7/2/20); Shady Bowl Speedway will be the scene of three big nights of racing as the rural oval celebrates the Fourth of July holiday.The action starts on Friday (7/3) evening, The Must See Sprints return to the oval after a four year absence. The MSS hold the current track record wih a 10.666 lap. The 40 lap feature that night ran in just over ten minutes. Steve Rickard a local driver passed away this week. In memoriam the Heath and Sons Farms street stocks will run a 25 lap feature in his memory. This will be a non-points race. Gates will open at noon for open practice until 11PM. The track will close down at 5PM for the sprints and street stock racing. Practice will resume after features until 11PM.
Saturday,the fourth, the action resumes with a huge night of racing.
The Wooten Automotive and Towing Modifieds will be running a 50 lap feature with $1500 to win. The street stocks will return Saturday along with The Pines Home Solutions Thunder Cars The Thunder cars will run a 44 lap main on Saturday paying $500 to win. There also will be a 44 lap main Sunday with top spot again collecting $500. The Diamond Construction sponsored features has an added bonus of $500.00 to a driver winning both events. The Harrod Septic Solutions Compacts will be on hand. The AVSCA Vintage Sprints and the Midwest Champ Karts will make their Shady Bowl debut A small fireworks display will follow the racing. Saturday pit gates will open 2PM with spectator gates following at 4PM. Racing at 7.
Sunday will feature the 50 lap Wooten Automotive and Towing Modifieds in another $1500.00 to win feature. The Noble Armor Coating Late Models will do battle. The Harrod Septic Solutions compacts and The Pines Solutions Thunder Cars will do battle.
The final event will be a 100 lap enduro.
Fans please notice that we will be enforcing the social distancing rule set forth by health department officials. Fans going to the grandstands will enter thru west drive. Officials will meet you there and sell you the tickets. Concessions pitside and track side WILL be open. Pit Gates open at noon, grandstands at 1pm and racing at 3.
Campers are welcome at the speedway or Kiser Lake Park. The park has hookups and a beach. It is located about six miles south os the speedway.
