Mountain View plans special Racer Rewards, Richmond Gear awards for July 4th weekend

SPRING CITY, TN – Mountain View Raceway will hand out several Contingency Connection Awards this Saturday night at a part of the $2,000-to-win 2nd Annual Sam Williams Memorial Race for the Sportsman Division. There will also be Double Features for the Open-Wheel Modified, 4-Cylinder, and Front-Wheel-Drive Divisions.


Richmond Gear will present a Special Victory Lane Product Certificate Award to the Winner and the Hard Charger of the 2nd Annual Sam Williams Memorial Race as a part of the Mountain View Raceway Contingency Connection Program. The Hard Charger will be the driver that improves their position the most from their assigned starting spot to the finish of the race.


Contingency Connection Racer Rewards Booklets worth over $4,000 in Motorsports Product and Equipment Product Certificates will be awarded by random draw to a driver in the Open-Wheel Modified, 4-Cylinder, and Front-Wheel-Drive Make Up Features. The race winners will draw a finishing position to receive the Racer Rewards after each race.


John Stout of Harriman, TN had his 8th-Place finish in the June 25 Late Model Feature Race drawn by race winner Josh Collins of Knoxville, TN to win the Contingency Connection Racer Rewards Booklet. The Late Model Division will also compete in a Feature Race this Saturday night at Mountain View Raceway.


The 2nd Annual Sam Williams Memorial Race will honor the late Sam Williams of Crossville, TN, a late model competitor for many years in East Tennessee, who also competed many times at the old Spring City Raceway that was located on the site of Mountain View Raceway. Sam Williams’ #96 Race Car will be at Mountain View Raceway this Saturday night to lead the field to the Green Flag. Josh Walker of Ringgold, GA is the defending champion of the race.


Other top entries expected include Addison Cardwell of Knoxville, TN, Brandon Stanfield of Soddy Daisy, TN, Bradley Goodman of Spring City, TN, D.J. McMahan of Cedar Ridge, TN, Christian James of Soddy Daisy, TN, Tyler Dennis of Dayton, TN, Jeremy Shannon of Wartburg, TN, and Jesse Lowe of Crossville, TN.


This Saturday, the Pit Gate opens at 3 p.m. and the Grandstand and Tier Parking Gates open at 4 p.m. The Mandatory Pre-Race Registration and Technical Inspection will be from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. The Drivers Meeting is set for 6:15 p.m. and Hot Laps are scheduled for 6:45 p.m.


Pit Passes are $30 for Adults, $15 for Children 6-11, and Children 5 and under are admitted Free. The General Admission and Tier Parking ticket prices are $10 for race fans 12 and older, Children 6-11 are $5. and Children 5 and under are admitted Free. All Children must be accompanied by an Adult.
