Six Mountain View Raceway drivers collect Racer Rewards

SPRING CITY, TN – Six Mountain View Raceway drivers recently collected Contingency Connection Racer Rewards Books, each worth over $4,000 in Motorsports Product and Equipment Product Certificates. The Racer Rewards recipients were chosen by Feature Race winners by drawing their finishing positions out of a hat.

Jeremy Thurman of Rockwood, TN drove the Addison’s Complete Auto Care TNT to a ninth-place finish in the 25-lap Late Model Feature Race on July 16. Late Model Feature Race winner Jesse Lowe of Crossville, TN drew the number nine to give Thurman the award.

Tyler Dennis of Dayton, TN finished eighth in the 20-lap Sportsman Main Event on July 16 driving the Gene Douglas Masonry Rocket. Race winner Jeremy Shannon of Wartburg, TN reached in the hat and drew am eight to give Dennis the prize.

Lance Frost of Harriman, TN in the Frost Racing Special finished second in the 15-lap 4-Cylinder Feature Race on July 16. Daniel Moody of Hiskel, TN won the race and drew the number two to make Frost the Racer Rewards winner.

Chase Hoffman of Dayton, TN finished fourth in the 15-lap Thunder Main Event on July 16 driving the Buck’s Race Shop and Repair Dodge. Race winner Chris Williams of Soddy Daisy, TN scooped up the number four out of the hat to give Hoffman the book.

There were two winners in the Front-Wheel-Drive Division on July 16. Taylor Gregory of Decatur, TN drove the Gregory Racing Special to a fifth-place finish, and the A Feature Race winner Marcus Huston of Decatur, TN drew a five. Rosey Thawne of Etowah, TN in the Thawne Racing Special finished ninth to win the book after race winner Carter Jolley of Spring City, TN drew a nine.

Mountain View Raceway is one of 50 Contingency Connection selected race tracks and racing series, and the only track in East Tennessee, which represents many motorsports vendors offering contingency awards to drivers during the 2022 racing season. Mountain View Raceway, through the Contingency Connection Program, will award over $100,000 in Special and Racer Rewards.

This Saturday Night, Contingency Connection sponsor Hawk Performance will present the $1,000-to-win Paul Murphy Memorial Race for the Thunder Division. The late Paul Murphy built the original Rhea County Speedway on the site of Mountain View Raceway in 1986. Hawk Performance will have Product Certificates for the top three finishers and prizes for some lucky fans.
